The Samuel Shen Hybrid bass is an excellent choice for a musician looking for the tone and responsiveness of a fully carved bass combined with the price and durability of a laminate. This hybrid model features sturdy laminate back and ribs with a fully carved spruce top to satisfy the ear of the discerning player. Schools or musicians who do a lot of travelling may prefer to select the option of a carved top with a protective veneer coating.
This bass also comes with two corner shape options - violin style or square gamba corners - and two varnish options - lacquer or oil. Specify corner shape in the comments at check-out.
